BRIEF PROFILE
Dr. Idowu Obukohwo Eluwa is currently a Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Science Education at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike Abia State. Born in Okitipupa, Ondo State; Dr. Idowu obtained her primary and part of her post-primary education at Army Children School, Ojo, and Archbishop Aggey Memorial Secondary School, Mushin, Lagos State respectively. She completed her post-primary school education at Edgerley Memorial Girls Secondary School, Calabar, Cross River State before proceeding to the University of Calabar where she obtained a bachelor degree in Mathematics Education after 4 years. Dr. Idowu served her country for one year in the National Youth Service Corp Programme (NYSC) at the Federal Government Girls College, Bauchi, before returning to Calabar where she took up a teaching job with the University of Calabar International Secondary School. Dr. Idowu re-applied to the University of Calabar for her post-graduate studies and obtained her Master’s and Doctorate degrees respectively in Measurement and Evaluation. She has strong inclination for research writing, mentoring and capacity building.
