Science Education

On behalf of the staff of the Department of Science Education, I welcome our old and new students, guardians and others who may be visiting our site. In Science Education we see teaching as a collaborative activity between staff and students. Our teaching philosophy is based on creating a stimulating and intellectually challenging learning environment that fosters creativity, innovativeness and mastery of subject content. We utilize new technology media platforms in teaching so as to actively engage the students and more so evolved a robust mechanism that monitors our students’ academic progress.

For our new students, we encourage you to take your studies seriously and avoid any form of examination malpractice which is not taken lightly in this university. The department has a crop of distinguished and well-bred academics as your lecturers and academic advisers that play the role of loco parentis. Thus, feel free to interact with them and when in doubt about any issue, ask questions.
