Psychology and Counseling

Guidance and counselling is an important and integral component of the school programme. Guidance and counselling assists individuals who are growing up in a complex world to develop into the total man capable of maximizing his potential in personal, educational, social and vocational dimensions. Guidance and Counselling is developmental, proactive, preventive and remedial in outlook. The need to prepare individuals who would render counselling services to the diverse clientele in an efficient and effective manner becomes imperative. This is the rationale behind the establishment of the Department of Psychology and Counselling/Teaching subjects in the College of Science, Technology and Education.
